How to piss people off by acting stupid…
I like to answer questions on Quora. That’s no secret. Many of you found this site that way.
But one thing that never ceases to amaze me is the spam on that platform, especially in the customer service categories.
I’m shocked by both the volume of worthless spam answers, and the overwhelming terribleness of many of them.
Case in point:
Yes, Sehul Shah, CEO at DeciZone.com, the biggest impact thing any business can do for their customer service is… use your “navigable flowcharts” thing, whatever that means.
I’m calling this guy out because it’s the one I saw today. But “answers” like this are all over that platform.
It makes me wonder if these terrible businesses possibly get any leads this way. Are any of you reading this and thinking “damn, I sure need a… navigable flowchart today!”?
Didn’t think so. (If you were, you should probably unsubscribe from my list.)
But still these spammers persist.
Is their time that worthless? Must be, if the CEO is personally spending his day doing this.
Funny thing is (and this is a bad example), most of these guys are selling customer service solutions.
Their marketing consists of blatantly copying and pasting irrelevant pre-written garbage hundreds of times a day.
What do you think their customer service looks like?
Exactly the same thing. The same old broken NPC, script, pissbreak timing model readers of this list know all about by now.
Old, conventional shit that doesn’t work.
But through sheer spam volume, they’re winning attention on Quora. And even the guys with better marketing skills than this (see any skills at all) are still mostly teaching the same old crap when it comes to customer service.
Rent office space, fill it with NPC’s, micromanage the hell out of them, and script every aspect of everything so they don’t make a “mistake.”
If you want to do that, you don’t need this list.
They think efficiency is a high “tickets per hour ratio.” I think efficiency is making more money in less time, and with less hassle.
